SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME (2019) is a superhero film directed by Jon Watts, who also directed the previous film featuring this character, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, released in 2017. Spider-Man, as the protagonist is known in Spanish, is a character created in the 1960s by Marvel Comics. He differs from most similar stories because he is a teenager who is not mentored by an adult superhero, as is the case with Batman and Robin. This premise is key to his success because it reflects the needs of 1960s youth, who were searching for their identity by opposing war, defending sexual freedom, listening to new music, or simply growing their hair long.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME updates the publisher's most famous character and positions him as a link between the current stage of the evolution of its narrative universe, in which a cosmic war has wiped out many of its heroes, and the new era, in which other leaders must fill the void left by those who have disappeared. The foundation for maintaining public interest will be the same qualities that captivated comic book readers decades ago and that today have transformed into followers of a movement that sees the adventure and superhero genre as the most precious object to which they dedicate their affections and attention, above other cinematic offerings.
