THE RETURN OF THE HERO is a French comedy about ambiguous love affairs during the 19th century. At the helm of the project is Laurent Tirard, who, before becoming a director, made a name for himself as the author of the book LESSONS IN FILM, in which he interviews important figures in the film industry. His work as co-writer and director of THE LOVE ADVENTURES OF YOUNG MOLIÈRE (2007) is particularly noteworthy. In this film, he experiments with the romantic comedy genre, drawing on moments from the life of Molière, the great playwright.

In THE RETURN OF THE HERO, the lead role is played by Jean Dujardin, who received critical acclaim after the release of THE ARTIST, which in 2011 won major awards at events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Awards. Much of the success of THE RETURN OF THE HERO lies in the actor's talent. His qualities, combined with Laurent Tirard's demonstrated appreciation for classic storytelling, make THE RETURN OF THE HERO a film that resonates with audiences and delivers on its promise: to entertain.
