LIFE ON OUR PLANET is an eight-part series that tells the story of how Earth's inhabitants have managed to survive the cataclysms it has suffered throughout its history. It's a journey through time imagined by a team of creators, scientists, and artists, brought together by Steven Spielberg's production company, Amblin, and Silverback Films, a company based in England. The narrator is Morgan Freeman, who has become a prominent figure in this field, having already appeared in other renowned documentary series such as THE STORY OF GOD (2016).
The series is currently available on Netflix. Therefore, alongside its scientific merits, it must also be a major piece of entertainment. This objective is achieved by having the backing of a company founded by one of the minds that changed the way the public understands paleontology, or rather, dinosaurs. The presence of Spielberg, the director of 1993's JURASSIC PARK, sets a high bar, ensuring that the worlds the story presents are spectacularly captivating.

With a script that tells stories in which animals become relatable, allowing viewers to connect with them, and with an aesthetic dominated by special effects typically seen only in major film productions, new generations have the opportunity to align their imagination and emotions with the science, storytelling, and art of filmmaking. This confirms that how a story is told is just as important as what it tells.
