Everything has its opposite, as can be concluded with KRAMPUS, the new film to be released in December 2015. It bases its story on an ancient pre-Christian legend from the Alpine countries, which tells of a demonic being who, unlike Santa Claus, does not reward children at Christmas, but kidnaps the naughtiest ones so that they never see their families again.

KRAMPUS is directed by Michael Dougherty, who previously helmed well-known projects such as SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006) and X-MEN 2 (2003). The film is a blend of fantasy, comedy, and horror—pure entertainment. It attempts to follow in the footsteps of memorable Christmas hits similar to GREMLINS (1984). As a major draw, KRAMPUS features actress Toni Collette, who played the mother of the child in THE SIXTH SENSE (1999) and was part of the cast of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE (2006).
