The film tells the story of a Colombian mother who flees France with her 9-year-old son behind his father's back, hoping to strengthen her bond with her child. The main character's acting challenge lies in the fact that she is bipolar, an element that adds depth to the story and makes it one of the most interesting roles of Juana Acosta's career.

”The film is about being a foreigner and feeling lost in another country,” Juana said in an interview with the Colombian newspaper El Espectador. (September 7, 2014), “But beyond that, it tells the story of a woman with great emotional fragility who is driven to make desperate decisions, particularly to avoid being separated from her nine-year-old son.”

The film is the debut feature of Colombian-French author Jacques Toulemonde, a humanist by profession, who collaborated with the talented director of photography Paulo Pérez, with whom he had already worked on THE WIND JOURNEYS, released in 2009.
