This director takes on the challenge of reviving the story of a loving, devoted husband, and decorated police officer named Alex Murphy (played by Joel Kinnaman), who, after being critically wounded in the line of duty, is deemed by the multinational corporation Omnicorp to be deserving of a second chance: they save his life and endow him with extraordinary powers so that this representative of authority can continue his fight.
