THE LEGO MOVIE It arrives in Latin America under the name of The Lego Movie and in Spain it is titled The Lego Movie. It is a 3D computer-animated film, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and inspired by the Lego construction toy line.
The entire Lego building toy group is brought together as characters, among them Emmet, an ordinary, rule-abiding fellow who is mistakenly identified as THE ONE. In this role, he becomes a pivotal figure, destined to save the planet. His lack of training for this adventure is evident throughout the story and sets the film's humorous tone.
The old mystic Vitruvius, the determined young Lucy, and Batman, the hero accustomed to fighting crime, participate in this saving mission; together they face the heartless Lord Business obsessed with destroying the world.
Famous voices of renowned actors speak for the characters: Chris Pratt as Emmett, Will Arnett as Batman, Elizabeth Banks as Lucy, Morgan Freeman as Master Vitruvius, Liam Neeson as Bad Cop / Good Cop and Will Ferrell as Mr. Business, among other great celebrities. Rescuing works of art and culturally significant pieces is a task that can only be entrusted to professional experts in those fields. Thus, at the end of World War II, a group of American and British historians, museum curators, and artists was formed with the mission of recovering stolen works of art from the Nazis to prevent their destruction.
Scheduled to premiere on February 17th of this year at the Berlin International Film Festival, this film based on the book by Robert Edsel, with excellent screenplay and direction by George Clooney, stars Clooney himself, accompanied by actors of the caliber of Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett, Bob Balaban, Jean Dujardin and Hugh Bonneville.
The Monuments of Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and History's Greatest Treasure Hunt, The title of the book based on real events that gave rise to the film, is highly recommended for this season.
