Trance

Trance is the name of the new film by Danny Boyle, the director of Trainspotting (1966). It's a psychological thriller starring James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent Cassel. The story is about Simon, an employee at an art auction house, who becomes involved in the theft of a painting. The plan doesn't go as expected, and Simon is forced to undergo hypnosis sessions to travel through his memory and recall the painting's location.

In the director's words: “All the elements of the film—the colors, the music, the costumes—are designed to seduce, like a hypnotic trance in itself. We wanted the trance to affect the audience as much as it affects the characters.”.

The film has been touring cinemas worldwide since March, so while some of us await its arrival, we share the trailer.
