The task of shaping the finished work falls to the editor. These professionals possess, among their many qualities, a remarkable ability to arrange events and actions in a way that makes sense to the viewer. They create the illusion that the way the story unfolds is a product of chance or the natural course of existence. Thanks to them, audiences watch films with surprise and wonder. They don&#039;t consider that behind them, there was the mind of an artist pulling the strings of the characters&#039; lives. <strong> Therefore, the assembly will be the topic of the talk we will give on Wednesday the 26th at 4 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The example to be analyzed will be the work of Jillian Isabel Stevenson, better known as Jill Bilcock. She, who reveals that she edited her first production on her kitchen table, some years ago, when she was just an art student at the Victorian College of Arts in Melbourne, Australia, is considered one of the great editors in the film world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For those who think they don&#039;t know the films he&#039;s worked on, here are some titles that might sound familiar. The first one <em>Moulin Rouge (2001)<\/em>, for which Jill Bilcock was nominated for an Oscar, later directed by the same director, the great Baz Luhrmann, <em> Romeo and Juliet (1996)<\/em>.
