The film, directed by Dominik Moll and released in 2022, swept through the French film circuit, garnering numerous awards and nominations. It&#039;s a story about a gruesome crime, with a killer who vanishes into thin air on the night of the murder, and it has more than enough merit for audiences who appreciate intimate cinema.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/109369896.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"810\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">THE NIGHT OF THE CRIME is reminiscent of the fictional murder of Laura Palmer in the 1990 series TWIN PICKS. In both, the victim is an attractive young woman, and the events take place in regions far removed from major cities. The young woman&#039;s environment in the French film is shrouded in a murky cloud of promiscuity, violence, indolence, and irresponsibility. Her daily life has been risky, yet no one around her seems concerned. Meanwhile, the team of investigators struggles to remain calm, but their personal lives strain the situation so much that everything teeters on the brink of collapse. The tranquility of the rural world is like the still reflection of a calm pond, revealing a tsunami brewing beneath the surface.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/la-noche-del-crimen-portada.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"770\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">On the surface, the drama of THE NIGHT OF THE CRIME lies in the fact that the killer hasn&#039;t been found, but the truth is that the detectives&#039; lives are almost more interesting than the mystery itself. The film has few action scenes; instead, it uses many close-ups, intelligent dialogue, and stomach-churning silences, maintaining constant tension.
