It premieres on HBO Max on Sunday, August 21st in the Americas and the following day in the rest of the world. HOUSE OF THE DRAGON is backed by the great popularity achieved by its predecessor, which has served to confirm that viewers enjoy stories with messianic protagonists, in which immaterial forces, such as &quot;destiny,&quot; govern the lives of the characters.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/1366_2000-1-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1366\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Game of Thrones, its predecessor, ran for eight seasons, from 2011 to 2019. During those years, the project captivated viewers worldwide. It garnered numerous awards and even earned the dubious distinction of being the most illegally downloaded series in the world. Game of Thrones successfully maintained the appetite for the fantasy genre that The Lord of the Rings had established with its three films. It also solidified the idea that the aesthetic and technological quality of film and television need not differ. This concept, important to film enthusiasts, was further confirmed in 2015 when HBO screened the final two episodes of the fourth season in 205 IMAX theaters.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/YP4DNJ4FFRCMROOOGEJZZTRNSU.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"730\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">HOUSE OF THE DRAGON reminds us of the enduring appeal of both the fantasy and chivalric genres. The series is based on George R.R. Martin&#039;s novel FIRE &amp; BLOOD. In both the television and literary versions, &quot;power&quot; is the driving force of the drama. Given this universal theme, the connection it forges with its audience is unsurprising. On the contrary, the persistence of the chivalric genre, with its entire system of values\u2014the same values that Cervantes challenged in his Golden Age novel DON QUIXOTE\u2014is unsettling.
