These were indispensable for the first newsreels, nature films, and documentaries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">They featured a turret that could hold three lenses, saving time and making them easier to use. They were compatible with 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm, and Super 16mm film formats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-18368\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/digital-bolex.jpg\" width=\"187\" height=\"210\" \/>In 2012, Bolex International granted the rights to the name \u201cDigital Bolex\u201d to the Canadian company Cinemiridian, who undertook the task of bringing the old Bolex H16 into the future and turning it into the new D16, a digital camera that has a Super 16mm CCD sensor and captures in<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> RAW format (Format that contains the complete information, i.e., without compression, of the image as captured by the camera&#039;s digital sensor) of 1080p and 2k.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">These specifications are ideal for digital cinema films. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18475 alignright\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/meyproducciones.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/medium_tqqswqu4rg8wvifynznat8a9ja9acefzyrcl8iaqa_bolex-d16_1.jpg\" width=\"219\" height=\"145\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">The curious thing about this device is that you can mount the lenses from the old one on it.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> H16, C-mount lenses and other types of lenses, plus, you no longer need to exercise your arm to wind this camera, as it has a battery life of 4 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\">Currently there are two types of digital Bolex cameras: the one already described and a monochrome version that captures<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium; color: #000000;\"> Grayscale images.
