Very soon we will see Antonio Banderas in a science fiction film directed by the Spaniard Gabe Ibañez, who also directed HIERRO (2009) and collaborated on the visual effects of THE DAY OF THE BEAST (1995).

AUTOMATA is the second feature film by this Madrid-born director who turned to actors such as Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas for different roles in this new film, in which the latter is the protagonist.

Banderas plays Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent for the robotics corporation ROC. He is in charge of investigating the case of a supposed robot manipulation, but as he delves deeper into his search for information, he will discover that what happens will have major repercussions for the human race.

Latin America is also awaiting the premiere of THE 33, the story brought to the big screen of the 33 Chilean miners trapped in a mine for more than 60 days, in which Antonio Banderas also acts.
